Homely seduction!

Alongside the atmospheric Grand Restaurant and the charming La Stüva, the "Colani Stübli" is the epitome of homeliness in the Walther gastronomic tapestry.

Only a few yards away from the Belle-Epoque-Haus, the aroma of the newly-found and the traditional Engadine wafts through the Arvenstube of the Hotel Steinbock  -  also owned by the family. And yet the remainder of the Grisons canton, the Southern valleys and international classics are also represented here.

The restaurant takes its name from the legendary huntsman Gian Marchet Colani, who was born and bred in the Engadine. He is reputed to have culled 16 chamois on one day. A cock-and-bull story? Perhaps. What is true, however, is the outstanding venison that is served in autumn after the end of the hunting season based on old traditional recipes.

Bun appetit, as we say in the Engadine.
